Hey y’all. Last year, the two of us started photoshopping pictures of celebrity chef Paula Deen riding pretty much everything we could get our hands on. Babies in taco costumes, Jersey Shore cast members, 50 Cent. You name it, she rode it. We figured it was a dumb thing that a couple of our personal blog followers might enjoy. The next day, we logged onto our computers to find “Paula Deen Riding Things” trending worldwide on Twitter (Thank you Mr. Fallon), and featured on The Daily What, followed in the subsequent days by CNN/Time/way too many other sites to name. Obviously, we were shocked. Our dumb little joke had blown up into something hilarious and huge, and we’d created a meme.
A year has passed. Thankfully, we still have all of you wonderful people (all 50,000+ of you!!!) sticking around to see what she’s riding now. Thanks for the awesome year. Additionally, apologies for the lack of posts lately. We are still both busy students, we do have a limited amount of time. But we intend to bring you more Paula for as long as we can!
Thanks to Ms. Deen for being such a great sport, and all the sites that have featured us throughout the past year, including Tumblr for putting us in the spotlight.
Ride on.
